and High School Principal James O’Neill to replace Schneider as

Batz, principal of Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington,
has been appointed as principal of Chatham High School. Batz will be the
first woman principal of Chatham High School. Batz began her career in
education when she was hired to teach English at what was the Lafayette
Middle School in Chatham Township. While
there she served as eighth grade team leader, directed Lafayette’s first
musical productions and organized numerous student activities. She
left the Township in 1976 to join the Hunterdon school district.
