July 3 -- noon to 9 p.m
July 4 -- 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. close. Reopen 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.  July 5 -- 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m
July 6 -- 11:00 a.m to 2 p.m.

July 3:
Arrival and registration in a common 'get together meeting area' starting at noon in the Commons Room at the Chatham Firehouse, Plaza Square. Band and choirs will be playing and singing at the Gazebo, Individual class gatherings.
July 4:
Parade and picnic. Alumni Art Exhibit - 11-3:30 at Methodist Church. Evening, giant fireworks display.
July 5:
Day: Sports (Runs and Tennis, etc.)
Evening: Great Reunion Reception dinner and entertainment.
July 6:
Sunday worship. Individual class gatherings.

1939 and 1941

1940
The class of 1940 is not planning anything formal but please call Bub Bohrmann (201-635-7971) so we can plan to eat together on July 4.
1942-1945
The classes of 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945 are a combining for a dinner at Fairmount Country Club on Thursday, July 3rd at 6PM. Register for this event with your Class Coordinator.
1946
  • Friday July 4th, Dewey Sheats 55 N. Passiac is having a cocktail party - about 4 PM.

1947
The class of 1947 is planning a pot-luck dinner July 4th, 6:30pm at the home of Doe Lemcke Dunn, 2 Hawthorne Place Summit NJ 07901. Please write or call Doe on 908-273-3461 for more information.
1948
The class of 1948 is planning a brunch on July 5 from 10am to 1PM. at the home of Barbara Bennett, 15 Oliver St. We would like everyone in the area, whether signed up for the Great Reunion or not, to feel free to attend this gathering. Your check for $8.00 is your reservation. Make it out to Barbara Bennett and have it in by June 30.
1949
The class of 1949 is planning two events over the 4th of July weekend:
  • Thursday, July 3rd 6:00PM. Inform al get together - buffet with cash bar. St. Patrick's Parish Center, 85 Washington Ave. Chatham.
  • Sunday, July 6th 12 noon. Brunch. Afton, 2 Hanover Rd, Florham Park, NJ
1950
The class of 1950 is planning a brunch on Sunday, July 6 at the home of John Bennett, details to follow. The class will make their headquarters at the Hamilton Park Hotel in Florham Park. Reservations should be made soon, 201-377-2424, and ask for the CHS rate.
1951
The class of 1951 is planning a brunch on Saturday, July 5 from 10 - 2 at the home of Judie & John Jaycox, 12 Deerfield Rd. Mendham, NJ.
1952
1952 Class Activities scheduled for Reunion weekend.

  • Gather at Charlie Brown's Steakho use, Shunpike and Southern Boulevard.
  • Cash bar and dinner available.
Friday July 4
  • 3:00pm until fireworks. A picnic and barbeque at the Green Village Fire Department
Sunday July 6
  • Brunch with Class of '55 at Dinny Felt Swett's home in Summit. Dinny will be assisted by Kergi Felt Bach ('55) in hostessing the event.
1953
The class of 1953 has tentative plans for a party on Thursday, July 3 from 6:00 until ? at the Green Village Methodist Church, Green Village. For more information contact Kitty Reams.
1954
The class of 1954 has plans for a party at Paul Richardson's house on Thursday, July 3 from 4 PM to "whenever". A sandwich and salad type lunch  is planned at Ruth Mackie Gabay's house on July 5 close to noon. Ruth's house is located at 17 Calais Road in Mendham. For directions contact

  • Saturday, July 5th Cocktails and ho rs dourves from 4PM - 6PM, at Doug ('56) and Helen Harcher Bryant's ('59) house before the ALL CLASS PARTY/DANCE. 89 Pine Street, Chatham.
  • Sunday July 6 Picnic at George Sarn o's on Long Hill Rd in Long Valley. Cost is $5/person BYOB to cover the cost of food,liquid refreshment, live intertainment,etc. There is a pool so bring your suit. 1958
The class of 1958 has reserved a block of rooms at the Madison Hotel and is planning to hold their 40th reunion at the hotel. Class coordinator, Dave DeLong, has developed a calendar of '58 events.
  • July 3 - Registration of all clas ses at the town gazebo. Also Class of '58 registration and get-together at the Madison Hotel in Class Hospitality suite - lots of hor d'oevres and "beverages" of your choice! Come a renew friendships and talk/brag/stretch and/or fib a bit about life since graduation.
  • The class of '58 has procured the "Grange" on Meyersville Rd for the eve of July 3rd...Seeing as most everyone lost their virginity within 1 mile of this location, the class of '58 thought it an ideal spot to congragate and swap stories of conquests of yore,long, long ago. We welcome the company of the classes of '56, '57, and '59. The cost of the rental is $140 bucks and any class participating with us will share in the expenses.     The handling of food and beverage is to be determined. There will be a flyer handed out at registration to all class mates of participating classes.

  • July 4 - '58 classmates will asse mble at Nancy Reed Brown's house at 29 Red Road (Sue Whiting Goetz's old home) about one and a half hours before the parade for munchies, coffee, aspirins, and get well vitamin C mixes.
    - Climb on board the Class of '58 float which will join in the parade.
  • July 5 - Free morning to attend/p articipate in sport of your choice or just mill around with friends. We hope to get some activities organized such as tennis, golf (hard to get tee times), etc.
    - ALL classes dinner at the Lum Avenue or Middle School under the tent!
  • July 6 - Attend the church of you r choice and bid fond farewells to all!
1959
The class of 1959 is planning a class party on July 3rd, Thursday.

1960
The class of 1960 is planning the following events:

1961

1962
  • The class of '62 party is planned for Friday evening, July 4th from 5 to 8 PM prior to the fireworks at the home of Diana Veasey DeVito's mother's house at 124 Chatham Street. We will have sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres and snacks available.

1963
The Class of '63 will be marching in the 4th of July parade. We have a '55 Ford Sunliner to lead our class. Please plan to meet at Hillside Ave - under the Railroad Bridge by 9:30. Wear any Mukluk hats, etc. We will also be meeting at 5:00 on Friday the 4th at the bar at the Madison Hotel on old Route 24 in Convent Station (by Rod's Ranchhouse) and will make dinner plans from there. Please try to come.
1964
The Class of '64 Reunion will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, from 8:00PM to midnight at Rod's, on Route 124 in Convent Station. Light food, and open bar and entertainment will be provided. 1966
The class of 1966 (Boro) is planning a get together on July 3rd, Thursday. It will be held at the home of D.B. Ross in Chatham at 217 Washington Ave. Time and additional details will be announced at a later date.
1967
The class of 1967 (Boro) is planning a family gettogether on Friday afternoon July 4th at the Great Reunion '97 picnic. An adults gathering will be held Friday evening at the Hamilton Park Conference Center bar prior to the fireworks. Call Mo Tarleton at 713-744-2405 for details.
1968

The Class of 1978 (Boro) is planning a golf outing for Thursday morning, July 3 with the Class of 1974. See 1974 (Boro) for details. We will be having our class party on the 4th of july from 4:00 until the fireworks...8:00.It will be held at 62 Fairview Ave. in Chatham, the home of Ed and Mary Beth Leithead. It is a full london broil barbeque with all the drinks that go with it. The cost is twenty dollars per family,or ten dollars per individual. Class of 1994 is looking for ideas. Since no event is officially scheduled for July 3rd, we have tentatively planned an individual class gathering for that day. Right now our idea is to have a picnic, exact time and location TBA. Sound like a good idea? Would anyone want to D.J? Would you rather do something different? (A cocktail party at a local swim club?) Check with Jenn Short or Steven Johnson with ideas and suggestions.
